Pre-delay parameter on a reverb

Pre-delay, delays the entrance of the reverb. So if, for example, pre-delay is set to 0 milliseconds, then the reverb begins exactly when this sound does. This could end up muddying up the mix.

The longer the Pre-delay is, the more space between the entrance of the sound and the entrance of the reverb and that space will clean it up considerably.
