On EQ-ing the reverb
The secret to fit the reverb into a mix is by using either an internal or an external equalizer to shape the sound. It is always sounds better when you EQ before running the signal through the reverb. The well known secret of EQ-ing the reverb, of a famous British studio is to use these settings:
Low Pass Filter at 10KHz with a 12 dB per octave slope.
High Pass Filter at 600 Hz with a 12 dB per octave slope.
